Questions Coaches Ask

Is Prospect Unlocked free for high school coaches?+

Yes. Roster management, prospect sheets, team page, and recruiting activity tracking are free for HS football coaches.

How do I claim my team?+

Search for your school on the sign-up page. If we have your school in our catalog (7,000+ rosters loaded), your 2027s and 2028s auto-populate when you create your team. Add 2029s manually from the roster page or via the player intake form. If your school isn't listed yet, email info@prospectunlocked.com and we'll add it.

Do I have to upload film or stats manually?+

No. 2027/2028 rosters are pre-loaded from national HS football rosters, and we auto-populate stats for players who have them on record. 2029s are added by you or your players (the intake form supports them). You can edit anything. Film stays on Hudl — we link to it, we don’t replace it.

What can I share with college coaches?+

Your public team page (school-branded, share a single URL) and printable prospect sheets (one-pagers per player, formatted for a coach to scan in under 60 seconds).

How is this different from Hudl or MaxPreps?+

Hudl focuses on game film workflow. MaxPreps aggregates stats and schedules. Prospect Unlocked sits between those and the recruiting layer — the prospect sheet, college contacts, and activity log are what's missing from both. And it's free.

What about college coaches finding my players?+

You share your team page URL with college coaches directly. We're not a database they subscribe to — we're a tool that makes your program's information presentable and organized when you reach out.
