Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Prospect Unlocked ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.

Prospect Unlocked is a recruiting management platform for high school football programs. We provide tools for coaches to manage rosters, generate prospect sheets, and track recruiting activity. Athletes and parents can create profiles and track the recruiting process.

The Platform is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future with advance notice.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Coach accounts require verification before accessing school rosters
• One person per account — no shared logins
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

Coaches who claim a school agree to:

• Represent accurate information about their role at the school
• Use athlete information only for legitimate recruiting purposes
• Not share athlete personal information outside the platform without consent
• Keep roster information current and accurate
• Comply with their school district's policies regarding student data

Athletes and parents agree to:

• Provide accurate athletic and academic information
• Not misrepresent stats, offers, or recruiting status
• Understand that profile information may be visible to college coaches and recruiting contacts
• Report any inaccurate information about their profile

Data ownership: All student data remains the property of the student, their family, and/or the school district. We claim no ownership of student data. By using the Platform, you grant us a limited license to display, store, and process your information solely for the purpose of providing recruiting management services.

Pre-loaded data: roster information sourced from publicly available sources may be pre-loaded. This publicly available information does not constitute education records under FERPA. Coaches and athletes can update or correct this information at any time.

Public visibility: team pages and athlete profiles are designed to be visible to college coaches. This is the core purpose of the Platform — increasing recruiting visibility for student-athletes.

Data deletion: Upon termination of a school's use of the platform, or upon written request, we will delete all associated student data within 30 days and provide written confirmation.

We comply with all applicable student data privacy laws:

• FERPA: We function as a school official with legitimate educational interest when operating under agreement with a school district
• COPPA: We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verified parental consent
• Texas HB 2087: We do not sell student data, use student data for advertising, or share student data with unauthorized third parties
• Texas HB 4390: We comply with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act
• Texas DPA: We support and are prepared to execute the standard Texas Data Privacy Agreement for K-12 institutions

School districts requiring a Data Privacy Agreement should contact info@prospectunlocked.com.

You may not:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a school
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the Platform to contact minors for purposes unrelated to athletic recruiting
• Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content

Prospect Unlocked is a tool — not a guarantee of athletic scholarships, college offers, or recruiting outcomes. We do not promise any specific results from using the Platform. Recruiting decisions are made by college coaches independently.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (currently $0 for free accounts).

We may update these terms as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting info@prospectunlocked.com. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
